    The first Catholic school built in Australia from private subscription. Originally called St Patrick’s School. Built 1840.

  •  - Emily Cottage

    This small stone house, built in the early 1840s, is thought to have been a toll house.

    A leisurely paced 3-hour walk meandering past and through a variety of historic and or scenic spots. Suitable for Walking, jogging and wheelchairs. Dogs (only on the leash) on the paths. (Unfortunately, dogs not permitted within the AuburnBotanic Gardens, the Auburn Aviary and Wategora Reserve)

  •  - Start: Granville Train Disaster Memorial Garden

    A beautifully maintained garden that commemorates those who died or were injured in the Granville Railway disaster of 1977. Railway Parade and Carlton Street, Granville, NSW.

  •  - Auburn Botanic Gardens

    A beautiful garden of some 10hectares. There are two lakes, a waterfall and bridges. Duck River winds through the garden. The gardens include the Japanese gardens which are well worth a visit.

    Suitable for walking, jogging and wheelchairs, cycling. Distance: 2 – 4 kilometres

  •  - Rookwood Memorial Gardens:

    The world’s largest remaining operating cemetery from the Victorian era. Far from being macabre the gardens have many architecturally significant and impressive monuments and chapels. It is the final resting place of many prominent Australians. The site features more than 205 Australian native plant species,including the rare and endangered Downy Wattle.

  •  - Serpentine Canal

    Dating back to 1880, the canal is a trove of historical informationand artefacts.
